Autumn magic at our mountain cabin

From October 9th to 11th, my daughter and I spent a wonderful weekend together at our cabin in Lavangen. We were greeted by crisp, beautiful autumn weather—sunshine during the day and a delicate layer of frost covering the ground, with temperatures hovering between -5 and -7 degrees Celsius.

There is a profound, grounding stillness in Northern Norway during this transition of the seasons. The air carries that unmistakable, sharp scent of frost and dry earth, signaling that the vibrant colors of autumn are gently yielding to the quiet slumber of winter. The morning light low across the mountains cast a golden, crystalline glow over the landscape, illuminating a nature that is slowly, yet peacefully, preparing itself for the colder months ahead.
It was a truly special weekend of shared moments, crisp air, and the timeless beauty of the northern wilderness. Below, I have gathered a few images from the weekend.
